The replacement knob is slightly different than the one I am replacing. The new one is missing the rubber grip and can see visible mold marks from where the rubber used to be. The knob feels lighter and looks cheaper than the old one. Maybe it is my imagination. The plastic shaft on the inside looks the same where the first one broke. There is not enough "meat" there to last long term, so I took the suggestion of another reviewer and applied some JB Weld for Plastic. This is an epoxy putty stick that you cut off the amount you need. Just work the putty until it is one color and shape it on the inside of the knob around the shaft to provide additional strength. This cures in about 20 minutes.Hopefully this will provide a long term cure for this part failure. We did get about 11 years out of the first knob and with my modification, hope this will last even longer the next time.We are so pleased we ordered the right one! The knob shaft on our Frigidaire Gallery dryer cracked after about 12.5 years of happy ownership. Using the serial number model number (GLEQ332AS1) told us that this was the right knob (part # 131873500). Some of the reviews said the knob was backwards indicating 180 degrees off, but in my case the knob fits perfect. I believe this is an OEM Frigidaire part as it seems to have all the correct markings on the back - it looks exactly like the original part. It fits perfect and the indicator lines up correctly. It also was $17 less than if I had bought at the local parts store. It doesn't have the same soft, grey, grippy inserts on each side (that exact knob is not even made these days) but that is okay, as those inserts had degraded and stained a bit. This is the best knob for the job!Review does not pertain to seller, but to the part. Part does fit my Electrolux/Frigidaire dryer GLEQ332AS2. On this model, the indicator mark even points in the RIGHT direction. However, at about 2 loads per week, this is my second replacement knob in a year. Frigidaire's poor design means the thin plastic shaft on the knob is prone to cracking. This time I took other reviewers' advice to reinforce the plastic shaft with epoxy. I very lightly sanded the shaft, taped its opening just in case, and filled the space around it with epoxy putty, NOT liquid! There are gaps in the knob and I suspect liquid epoxy will leak through to front of knob and leave a mess. Note the epoxy sets quickly and wear gloves.I needed a new knob to replace the old one which had cracked and would no longer stay on the dryer, and so was not useable. This knob was specified as fitting the make and model of my dryer and it fit perfectly and looked identical to the previous one. I am very happy with the item and the straightforward experience of finding and purchasing the correct one.Got this as a replacement knob for my Frigidaire CREF342AS1 dryer, as the plastic part gripping the metal timer shaft cracked on the original, making it impossible to turn. Initially I didn't think this would work for my dryer, as the original knob looked different (big gray stripe down the middle) and the product description didn't list my particular model, but after checking Sears Parts Direct, I realized that the manufacturer had replaced the original knob (part #134042600) with this one (#131873500). Ended up buying here rather than Sears as the price was lower and there was free shipping. The knob was very easy to install--just slip on and you're done. It's been a few months and I haven't had any problems; will update if the plastic cracks again!Plugged on fine and works good. Size and design were an exact match for my application at a fair price.Center was metal re-enforced instead of the all plastic design of the original broken knob. Color was slightly different but hardly matters because original did not exactly match paint anyway. One day my knob would not work. Before calling out a repairman, or worse - having to replace a dryer - I checked online to see if I could find the part. This seller had it for the best price. Not only that, I contacted him and told him that I would pay extra for priority mail shipping. He contacted me within a few hours and told me no problem. And sure enough I had this part within 2 days.Do not hesitate to purchase from this seller. For $20 - $22 dollars, first one broken in 6 months. Replaced. Broken in 3 months. Trying an OFF Brand.... we'll see...Perfect. Worked great, and for a few bucks saved my dryer for another few years of use, which means it ended up saving me several hundred dollars and kept my dryer out of the landfill for a few years. No tools or skill needed. Just pop it on. A toddler could install it (literally if you have fine motor skills you can do it).One thing is the black dot was 180 degrees in the wrong place for my dryer. But a sharpy and it was fixed. For what it is, the price is outrageous. However, it is exactly what was required. Broke relatively easily though. Replaced darn thing twice!Worked as expected. No issuesLe délai de livraison à étés très rapide, la pièce s’ajuste très bien a la commande de contrôle. Seul bémol le prix pour cette pièce est chère pour un bouton de plastique.Work fabulously.
