I was looking for a solution to keep my baseboard heating zone from freezing. I have a room above my garage that is heated by a secondary heating source and keeps the thermostat from cycling on. I had the zone freeze up the other day and don't want to use the baseboard to heat the area due to fuel costs. I used this timer to cycle on my zone pump every couple of hours for a few minutes to maintain some heat in the pipes to prevent freezing.Any commerical product I could find for this purpost cost 80.00 or more.I just ordered a second on for another zone as we heat with a pellet stove and this is cheap insurance to prevent the zone from freezing.It is 24V AC which is the same for most boiler thermostats. It can also be set for specific days of the week or everyday and 17 on/off with duration events/cycles.Google search: Amico CN101a instructionsIt did not come with any instruction sheet on how to program it, but I was able to find some on the internet.
