Very simple to use just drop into the boiling water. I found it rather hard to read as it turns black from the outer edges which I found hard to see. I have since gone to a microwave type which I find much easier to useIt works great but the only problem is when the water boils its very hard to see the "level".Makes boiling perfect eggs easy.I love making boiled eggs now….no more guessing and having to throw eggs away!!Making eggsI have been using these for years. I like soft boiled eggs and this works! It works better than the yellow ones. Great for devil egg too. After several years my previous ones faded. No problem they don’t cost that much.I make deviled eggs often and hard boiled eggs in my salads, this item makes it much more easierI’ve seen egg timers before, but I always thought they were nonsense. Anyways, I used this to soft boil, medium boil, and hard boiled eggs. I just put it in the pot, fill with water, surround it with eggs, and let it boil. It tells me which stage the eggs are at, and I’ve tested it, and each egg is the perfect soft, medium, or hard boiled. Now I’m upset that I didn’t buy it sooner. ;-). Great gadget!!
