I bought this as a gift for my lover, with the full intention of using it. Instead we more often set timers on other devices and just like to look at the cute cat on top. I have not had any issues with the timer, though. It works and it works well when it is needed.I recently renovated a house and my new cooktop does not have a timer. I love cats so this little timer is perfect. It looks very cute sitting on my counter but is still functional. It has a loud ring that can be heard even in the next room. Definitely recommend.I bought this because it looks just like my cat, plus I needed a new timer. It's easy to use, just turn to 55 and back to your desired time. It rings for a decent amount of time, also it isn't so loud that it wakes the house. Fun and functional.Apparently egg timers that work is a tall order, another one getting returned.It's a cute little timer and it works just perfectlyI love this timer.The cat is adorable, and the muted colors are all very nice. The timing function doesn't seem to be very accurate, though. It's difficult to tell for sure because it's analog and I'm not always 100% sure I've set it exactly where I intended. The timer also keeps ticking for a short time after the buzzer rings.To "activate" this timer, you need to first rotate the cat clockwise to 55 (the dial goes five minutes beyond this -- back to zero, but the instructions warn not to go the whole way to zero) and then you rotate the cat, and the arrow between its front feet, back to the number of minutes you want to time. So, I guess this tops out at 55 minutes. Going to 55 each time isn't awful, but it's a bit strange -- the directions aren't written on the timer itself (although I used a permanent marker to shorthand it on the bottom) so I wonder if I would remember to do this each time if I didn't use this timer for a while. If you just go to the number you want, without first going to 55, the timer will simply wind down and stop without a buzzer.Overall, this is aesthetically nice, and would look very good in a "country kitchen" setting, but it's not the most practical timer, especially if you want precise timing.This is a really cute kitchen timer. You can set up to 60 minutes on this timer, and get a satisfyingly loud ring as a result from the bell. There's a cute tabby cat wearing a red scarf sitting on top of the timer, and the little arrow that sets the timer is right between his front paws.I'm not sure it will withstand rough treatment - you could probably pull the cat's head off if you tried, or break the timer if you threw it across the room - but it's a fun accessory for games (a lot more fun than using a phone timer), or for cooking, or just to enjoy on the kitchen counter. It came in its own box.If one eye wasn't bigger than the other, I would have given it five stars. If you're looking for the absolutely perfect and symmetrical cat, this might not suit you - but as it is, I think of it as the cat at the shelter that I loved all the more. I think it's adorable.Was really looking forward to it arriving but within a few days it had stopped working! Good service though returned and my money refunded.
