I've had this strip for a few days now and it's a very helpful little device. I got it with the intention of it replacing a digital timer that only had a single plug (didn't have the grounding either). It has been working great so far!Had great difficulty plugging items into sockets. Thinner blade plugs work but standard USA products do not push in easily if at all.Easy to program.Multiple switch times capable. Great for vacation....switches lights on and off at different times and different lengths of time.This timer has 4 timed outlets and 4 switch operated outlets. This saves me from using multiple timers to run various pumps on my hydroponics systems in the greenhouse, it is hard to fit all of them in the outlets with the space required for the timers plus the pump cords. IF I need to use other time sequences, I'll get another one of these and save the individual timers for backup use. I prefer the mechanical timers because I have had a lot of trouble with unreliable digital timers.Product is high quality and could withstand a beating. Each outlet's face can be turned to lock out water and kid's fingers. The timer part works with a push, pull, or turn. Very easy to use and you should stop thinking about it and get this one. The 4 outlets on the right that aren't controlled by the timer work great with my filters and water heater. I have fish and a Red-Earred Slider turtle named Spike. He loves it I know.Met the needs of Christmas on timer, and normal outlets.Great product I recommend buying itBought this to replace a smaller, single outlet, timer plug that failed on me. The timer function is in 30minute blocks, which would be fine for me, except i don't know what time the thing is set to! It's missing a little mark to help tell you what time the timer thinks it is. Also, the switch turns off all 8 outlet, not just the four like the description.I wanted to use this bar to plug in two lights on my aquarium, plus an air pump and 2 filters. lights on the timer, filters/pump on the switch. Wanted to be able to turn the pumps off but leave the lights on. Doesn't work that way. Guess the timer works but I would have just bought another $6 timer instead of this thing if I'd know. buy something else.I purchased 2 of these utems last fall, for spring planting. Upon trying to get my growing systems operating, I realized that both if these timers are defective! One thing, you myst pull all the grey tabs up, some tabs will not pull up at all, on both timers, making both if them inoperable. Piece of garbage! Do not wast your money, sad that Amazon sells crap like this.2 year review: I bought 3 and of those, 2 still work. The one that isn't working has stopped keeping time so the timer portion is broken. Overall, they work, but are loud and noisy. It's not a ticking sound but a surging buzzing sound that overpowers all the other electronics combined which makes me uncomfortable about the protection part of the surge protection.Absolute garbage. Not sure how amazon allows sellers to post misleading information about their products... Got it a couple months ago, ran a couple of short tests and it seemed to work, then I tried setting it up and basically the timer doesn't work and it turns off when it's supposed to be on. Save yourself the trouble and look elsewhere.(1) not same with the picture, the switch is not on the top but side, not as convenient as the one in the picture.(2) noise, very clear noise even in a noise background: zizizizizi~~~(3) Not sure it's the matter but the fact is the second day after I switch my router on this outlets, the power adapter of my router out of work.now I unplugged all my adapters from this outlet.
