I got the Kerde timer to replace a large encased mounted timer in my garage. This one is much smaller (about 2.5x2.5-inches and 1.2-inches high) and is rated to 20-amps (1hp engine). The dial front represents a clock face and can be used as such once the time is set. Small tabs are used to provide power to the timer and for the line to be controlled. They can be soldered or press-on clips can be used. Note that the timer does not have any ground. It is also different in that the timer can be used to "switch" power between two lines as a single pull, double-throw (SPDT) and not just turning one line on and off as there is a "common" line that is switch between "NC" and "NO" lines depending upon the pull-up tabs. Each tab represents 15-minutes.Overall a decent timer. However, be careful where you mount it as there is no grounding and the wiring is exposed.
