Took me a couple of hours to sort out. Instructions were written in "Chinglish" and unclear as to which device they were referring to (HUB/Timer). But once sorted out, installation was a breeze. Important to note, set the WIFI HUB up first... The HUB wants to connect to your 2.4 GHz WIFI signal and asks for your "WIFI password" to connect to your WIFI. This is different than the User Name and password that you set up for your "Smart Life app".Once you set up your "Smart Life" account, configure the HUB, and start up the app... Select the hub and "ADD DEVICE" on the HUB brings up the list of devices as shown in the pictures. If you can't get to the list of devices, then you probably entered the wrong password for your WIFI connection (like I did)! And the reference to two lights flashing refer to the lights on the timer. So press and hold one of the buttons on the timer until the two lights start flashing sequentially to put the timer in pairing mode.I was concerned about distance, but my HUB is plugged into an inside wall outlet with a straight line shot of nearly 60 feet to the timer ands it works perfectly. Also noted that the Johgee Dual Water Timer passes more than twice the volume of water than the old 3-zone Orbit Timer it was replacing... my sprinklers now spray more than twice as far! On the flakey 3-zone Orbit timer, zone 1 stopped turning off and had to be capped. The other 2-zones occasionally randomly exhibit erratic flows when they are turned on, and sometimes don't turn off completely, dribbling water continuously out to the sprinklers!But be very careful when you thread the hose couplings on to the Johgee timer threads. I tried several times noting the coupling was going on crookedly and binding. When straight with the threads, they go on easily, tighten up, and don't leak. Forcing a cross-threaded coupler on the plastic threads will destroy the threads and cause permanent leaks!Very happy with my purchase, so I'm going to replace all of my manual Digital ORBIT Timers!Having Google home mesh network makes this terribly difficult to set up because there is no dedicated 2.4Ghz network. After working through that the devices either don't connect to the hub or when they do I cannot get the app to respond when making changes to times or just turning on or off a zone.I've decided to install some external antennas which will hopefully make a difference in the connection to the hub. Slight modification required, a u.fl connector needs to be soldering to the board and a resistor that connects the built in antenna to the RF input needs to be moved to connect the external antenna.This unit might take a few extra minutes to hookup. Instructions aren't always perfectly clear, but once up and running it has performed well after 12 days. Easy to schedule and a quick push of the faucet icon will turn on or shut the water off quickly. Great for chasing squirrels out of the yard. You must connect this unit at 2.4ghz Despite some negative answers here, this unit, once connected at 2.4ghz, will let you reset your router for 5g and 2.4ghz speeds. Typical for most security cameras, doorbells ect.Exceeded my expectations, works with google voice and Alexa seamlessly you only have to wait a while the first time you connect the device to Wi-Fi and then after that it never disappointsTHE RANGE IS VERY LOW. THERE ARE NO GOOD directions. Doesnt integrate well with AlexaThis timer works great when it works. Every couple days or so it will become disconected from alexa and my phone. Every time this happens i have to reset the whole thing and set it up again. Very frustrating.Finally figured it out. Had to downgrade from 5G to 2G network. Connection was smooth with it. Will see how well it controls my irrigation. In view for a second buy if all works wellAfter trying it for a few days the app wouldnt turn it on or off right. Sometimes it did work but most of the time it didn't. I'm usually pretty good with this stuff alexa runs most of my house... but this thing was very hard to set up and didn't work reliably once it was set up . Tried reinstalling the app and restarted everything a dozen times. No luck. No help from the manufacturer so I ended up returning it.The automation on this works well. Setting up the app / WiFi & Alexa no problem. Unfortunately the plumbing lets it down. To be useful the two you attach it to needs to be on. While both automated valves are closed that puts mains pressure on the joint between the tap and this device. Unfortunately it is impossible to get the device to seal with the tap tight enough to withstand the pressure so the joint leaks. I have tried it on multiple taps of different types and used adapters. I have even tried plumbers tape - which should not be necessary. As I am not happy leaving a leaking tap on I my back yard the device is useless & will be going back. Shame.Nice timer, but has some odd things. The display disappears after 20 seconds, but might be a battery saver.Then window that says time left till next run is strange in that if you set the timer for every 6 hour it shows 5 until the next on period. Then when it gets to 5 hours it goes into 59 mins left. Why not show 6 hours ?? But at the moment it works fine.Pleased with purchase. Set up easily - just needed a couple of minutes to get used to the controls, which provide good flexibility. Performs flawlessly. Good value, too.Very easy to setup after you know how to attach to the tap. That bit was fiddly as instructions weren’t clear. The timer functions have secs, mins, hours and days for how frequent you want to water the plants. Great sage colour makes a nice fit to garden look.This product works well for main water supply but will not work on a gravity feed such as a water butt.
