-If you use the "outlet on" switch, its easy to bump the timing wheel, requiring you to reset the time. The dial turns pretty easily, so be aware if you are fiddling with or around it.-The notches are a little too finely spaced for me to make out correct positioning beyond +/- 10 minutes or so, yet:-For most applications, I can't imagine needing to-the-minute accuracy, but if you are just "that way" like me, the best way I've found is to temporarily plug it in an easily accessible outlet or extension cord, set the light to switch at the nearest half hour mark, twist carefully until the light changes (there is resistance on the last notch, so careful of over-twisting), unplug it, set the pins you want while holding the dial in place, and plug it back in where you want it when the time comes.Working third shift for a stint, I just wanted something cheap to turn on my lights in my blacked-out bedroom to help with the rise and shine. Works as expected, seems to be keeping time for the couple weeks I've been using it, though I seem to bump the dial about once a week xD5/5 for its category and price!
