I bought 2 light blue ones this time. the magnets of the light blue ones are not as strong as the pink one I bought before. One of them (after putting in the batteries) couldn't hold up on the fridge door, so I had to return it.Overall, the timer itself is good for the blue version. Magnets are weak, I am not sure if it's just my bad luck or all the light blue ones are like this.PS: the pink one I bought before is still functioning perfectly.----------------------------------------09/22/2021 review on the pink version:Decent timer for self-study. The numbers are big enough. I love the silent mode option so that I can use it in the library. However, I would not use it as a clock since it doesn't have the night light feature, and I want to save some battery.I will update the review if anything happens to it.This timer would be awesome but I cannot figure out how to use it. The instructions were no help. It has a lot of features thoughClock function works fine. Timer function have been only able to get into twice. Have to reread instructions to get out of whatever mode it is in.It's a nice clock, but as a clock/timer/stopwatch changing modes is not obvious, and when it's in one mode it's hard to guess how to udo the change. You have to hold down one of the buttons to change the mode but you might also put it in a mode to change the clock time instead.As expectedLove this clock and that it is magnetic! Easy to read and looks great.When I saw that this timer had no 'mode' button, I was sure that it would be simpler than the other timers, but I was wrong. Like just about every other timer of this sort, they have tried to squeeze in a clock and alarm function too.Maybe that makes sense elsewhere, but it only generates confusion here and feels like feature bloat.This timer doubles down on that flaw, and actually makes it worse. This timer DEFAULTS to the clock mode when powered on. I actually had to read the documentation (and remove the batteries) to figure out how to make this timer a timer (you have to hold down the start/stop button).If it did not have a clock/alarm feature, or even if it simply defaulted to the timer mode (so that I could pretend the clock/alarm did not exist) then this would be a five-star review, but hidden functionality is bad, bad defaults are bad. I know that the instructions will not stay attached to this device forever, so I just hope that nobody else ever has to change the batteries of this timer, and think that it is broken for lack of the secret knowledge.It's much smaller than I initially expected and there's a little tiny leaflet with little information on how to use the device. I don't think it's suitable for what I wanted to use it for so that's really sad. I wouldn't purchase this as there are other alternatives out thereI like the fact that this item does not perform a multitude of tasks, but, based on a few months' trial, does its one job very well. It's just a very-simple-to-use timer with an alarm that is louder than many of the timers that we have had - though not so loud that the fire department arrives! The audible alarm can be switched very straightforwardly to an alarm that is a flashing light. Since all of hours, minutes and seconds can to set to two digits, it could readily be used as an alarm clock, in a pinch. One not-very-serious disappointment: it didn't come with needed AAA batteries. Overall though, a very good purchase.
