I already had a door on my coop that did not match the size of any of the automatic doors I could find, so I cut a piece of plywood to fit over my door frame with a cutout for the automatic door and attached this to the coop. This worked perfectly. However, I could not get the door to work. I emailed customer support and received a reply the next morning. It seems that I did not read the instructions. They told me the steps I needed to follow and the door worked perfectly. The first night it was installed a bear ripped my fence down near where the automatic door was installed and did not see a way in so he went to the other end of the coop, opened the door and made off with 2 chickens.
