Update:After I poster my original review I was contacted by Diivoo and given a full refund.I have therefore changed my 1 star to a 3 star rating. Thank you for standing behind your product. My old Orbit timer started to leak so I bought this Diivoo - big mistake! Is was a pain to set up, but once you figure it out, it went ok. Had it set to water once a day for 10 minutes, a very simple request. Checked it for several days and all worked fine. Then I noticed that the plants were looking a bit wilted. Looked at the timer and the batteries were dead. Thought maybe it was just a bad batch of batteries, so I bought new batteries and set it back up. Like before it worked great and then about 2-3 weeks later the darn thing was dead again.Save your money and buy a different brand.Well, it may by the heat in the south causing the power to drain quickly. I got maybe 1 month out of every set of batteries. Also, not the easiest to program. It's not an intuitive product.Takes a bit to setup. Not quite as easy as I expected but not that difficult either. Batteries don't last as long as I would have hoped and then you need to reprogram again. Overall does the job I need it to do.I feel like I took a gamble buying this because it looks somewhat new and there aren’t the greatest reviews, but it has worked perfectly for me so far. Very convenient for $40!Sure, you have to scan a QR code from some roughly translated directions that says the app doesn’t exist anymore. But all you have to do is search for the name of the app in the App Store and it comes right up. And yes, the app wants all kinds of permissions that it shouldn’t need for a timer to turn on your sprinkler, but that’s because it’s a smart home app and apparently you can link a plethora of other things to it. Since the sprinkler timer is the only thing I use that app for, and it’s Bluetooth, I just went into the permissions after setting it up and turned most of them off. It still works just fine.I’ve now used the manual function a few times, to just immediately turn on the sprinkler for a set period of 10-15 minutes. It’s nice to be able to turn it on (from inside) and then walk away knowing I don’t have to set a timer to run outside to turn it off. Same goes for the schedule function that I’ve used now as well. It came on before I was even out of bed and then turned off exactly as expected. So, seems to be working great! One person complained about not being able to control it from afar, which is somewhat fair. It would be more useful if it connected to Wi-Fi instead of Bluetooth and you could control it from anywhere, but it says Bluetooth so it’s described correctly. You only need to connect to it to make changes though; the schedule function still works whether you’re connected to it or not. And I expect to run the sprinkler very early morning when I’m at home anyways, just when I first wake up.Maybe this will get me through at least one summer so I don’t have to spend thousands on an installed sprinkler system. I will update if anything breaks or changes though.Re-writing review. I originally downloaded the App to my IPhone, paired it to the Bluetooth. I could turn the water on and off with my phone but couldn’t get it to follow the schedules that I set up. It would never turn on. At the time I thought everything was setup and would work, so I discarded the packaging. Later I discovered it wasn’t following the schedules, wanted to return it and couldn’t. I was about to give up and order something else, but decided to try one more time. I pulled the batteries and let it set for a bit before re-installing the batteries. I paired it to my IPhone again, and it started working as it was supposed to. It was a pain, but it works as it’s supposed to…I was so excited about the idea of a Bluetooth sprinkler timer. My thought was that I would be able to set it to run whenever I wanted to, regardless of where I was. That's not the case. I need to be sitting on my back porch, about 15 feet from the timer, for it to acknowledge my attempts to turn it on.Also, the app is not intuitive at all and has some weird deficiencies that seem like obvious features to me.For instance, my husband and I both have the app, and are both signed in with the sprinkler connected. If the other one has the app open (even in the background) on their phone, then we can't connect to the timer at all. This means that I may have to call my husband at work and ask him to be sure the app is closed, so I can set the timer to run from our house. At that rate, I may as well just ditch the timer and go do it myself, yk?Also, the body of this is very very wide, which makes removal challenging. If the top threaded head locks up at all, and you have to turn the entire body to pull it loose, it will very likely hit your wall and get scratched up as it's wider than the distance from a typical spout from the wall. The one-press button for a 10 min run is handy, however, and that's what we've come to rely on.Wifi functionality would be nice and rain delay from current weather would be nice. Great investment for above ground sprinklers. I have 2 of these units, they basically can be used as zones. I have one in the front and one in my backyard both work greatThis is so easy to use. I hooked it up and have not had to think about watering my garden because it’s taken care of with the timer. The rain delay option is nice. I wish you could set the rain delay timer to whatever time you want but it’s been great.I just received the package today after ordering it yesterday so it's A+ shipping and it looks new in a packaging. Put in two AA batteries, download Smart Life app, login, press pairing button on device, click add device in the app. Bam! it works. So excited. Hooked the hose. click the app the start...no problem but....as soon as I went up to 2nd floor....the app DISCONNECTED. So be prepared the bluetooth distance will be a problem. But if you program the timers when getting close the to the device. It seems that the device memorized those settings. You don't have to worry that bluetooth connection will affect these timers. So yes 4/5 stars. 1 missing star is because it made me scratch my head and few of my hairs come off.Great product w lots of options. The 10 minute water is very simple. Only issue is reconnecting after walking up to it or coming back to it as there is a warning screen that comes up that covers the entire interface so you can't see not do anything. Would be smarter to have an icon that shows connected or not connected and be able to peruse the interface. It looks like a failed setup screen is very annoying if you're just trying to run the 10m water. So far the product is doing as expected. It was easy to set up. I’m very satisfied with the app. It took me a few minutes to figure out how to set the schedules. There are two scheduling options, frequency or day. This lets you customize the time of day and length of watering. I love the Bluetooth function because if I do need to change a settings I can do this from the comfort of my bed. So if it were to rain in the middle of the night I don’t have to go outside to pause watering. My only wish is that this was wifi so I could remotely control it while on a vacation.Feels like a solid/quality item, well constructed and nicely packaged aaaaand that's where it ends... connecting this thing is NOT easy at all and I am pretty good when it comes to tech, so that was disappointing and I returned it. Thankfully he return process seems pretty easy thus far.The timer is relatively easy to use, however shuts off rapidly causing water-hammering, which is likely the nature of such electronic valves. I ended up getting a garden-hose threaded water hammer arrester to fit on the spigot before the timer, and am pleased with the combination.Programming makes sense once you read through the instructions and get it set up. Works well.
