Pro- clock mode functions as a "lock" feature for the timer, so you don't lose settings- has a count-up feature as well as a count-down feature- good volume, is non-adjustable but you can physically muffle or mute it- compact size fits in a small shirt pocket, no large parts stick out- uses button batteries, so it's not as bulky or heavy as a standard kitchen timer- button panel is level with the case and requires a deliberate push to use, thus preventing accidental presses while it's in your pocket- articulated button panel prevents dirt and oil from accumulating in the case, and is easy to clean- has a good screen, but you don't need to look at it to use the product- case has a silky cream finish, doesn't look or feel like ordinary kitchen timers- has a variety of distinctive sounds to help you identify it or jog your memory for what it's reminding you to do, but for me these are unescessary because I can remember why I set the timer and the voice countdown is conspicuous enough on its own. It would be nice to be able to disable alerts independently of disabling the voice.- it won't crash or hang, and it has no idea what the Internet is- female voice won't break your concentration and is a true companionCon- it does not remember the previous timer setting, you have to re-enter it each time- the batteries it arrived with were already corroding. I threw them out immediately and replaced them with fresh LR44 cells- the count-up feature is non-intuitive. Pressing "start" when the timer is at zero doesn't start it. You have to press "clear" then "sec" then "start", wait a second, then "clear" and it will count up. This is not written in the instructions.- the magnet is covered by smooth plastic and it doesn't stick to things very well. This is OK for me because I rarely use it and prefer it not to rub in my pocket- you can't change the announcement intervals, there is no option to have clock time announced automatically, there are no daily alarms, it's capped at 23:59 minutes, and it doesn't support multiple timers, multiple voices, or automatically repeating timers. These would be nice features to add in the future, but they aren't deal-breakers for me, and some of these can be achieved by buying a second unit and using it together (for example by setting one to count-up, and another to count-down, it'd be easy to tell which is which because the voice appends the word "over" to the announcement when it is counting up)
